2. Installation
The Dimmer switch can be mounted two ways: the included adhesive backing on the base plate or by screwing the base plate into the wall (screws not included):
Though the Dimmer switch doesn't come with the required hardware, you can use screws to mount the base plate to your wall. Insert small-sized screws through the base plate's screw holes. Depending on the type of wall, use a screwdriver or drill to secure the screws in place. Some walls may require wall anchors to properly secure the base plate.
If you decided to mount it with the adhesive backing from the base plate, line up your plate exactly where you want it (make sure it's straight!), and then press the wall plate firmly onto the wall. The backing takes about 24 hours to set, so try not to jostle or bump it for at least day after you install it. You can also place the Dimmer switch itself (without the base plate) on any magnetic surface, such as refrigerator.
3. Setting
1. Include the device to the Zigbee network:
1. Install Philips Hue's APP on the phone and join the hue gateway
2. Open the APP and enter the "Accessories Settings" to add a device, search for Hue Dimmer switch
Press and hold the ON+OFF button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the red LED indicator will light up, and immediately press the ON button once, the red LED indicator will flash once per second, after successfully connected to the network, the red LED indicator will stay on for 3 seconds.
Remark:
1. The remote control must be in its original state before entering the network. If not, reset the remote control first.
2. The APP will not prompt if the remote control is successfully connected to the network, it must be judged by the remote control LED indicator.
2. Reset the remote controller
Press and hold the ON+OFF button of the remote control for 5 seconds until the red LED indicator lights up, and immediately press the OFF button for 5 seconds to enter the resetting of the remote control. The red LED flashes quickly for 3 seconds after the remote control is successfully reset.
3. Touchlink (one remote control to multiple dimmers)
1. Reset the remote control and dimmer
2. Make the dimmer enter Touchlink mode
3. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select a group, and the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected 4. Immediately press and hold the ON button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on,
press the ON button twice to enter the TouchLink mode. The yellow LED indicator flashes quickly for 5 seconds
5. After Touchlink is successful, the yellow LED indicator of the remote control will flash slowly 6 times, the green LED light of the dimmer will stay on for 5 seconds, and the load light will turn on and off 10 times
4. Touchlink (multiple remote controls to multiple dimmers)
1. First add the remote control and dimmer to the same network
2. Make the dimmer enter Touchlink mode
3. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select a group, and the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected 4. Immediately press and hold the ON button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on,
press the ON button twice to enter the TouchLink mode. The yellow LED indicator flashes quickly for 5 seconds
5. After Touchlink is successful, the yellow LED indicator of the remote control will flash slowly 6 times, the green LED light of the dimmer will stay on for 5 seconds, and the load light will turn on and off 10 times
5. Remove Touchlink
1. Make the dimmer enter Touchlink mode
2. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select a group, the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected 3. Immediately press and hold the ON button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on,
press the OFF button twice to enter the Remove TouchLink mode. The yellow LED indicator flashes quickly for 5 seconds
4. After the Remove Touchlink is successfully removed, the yellow LED indicator on the remote control will flash slowly 3 times.
6. Reset dimmer through remote control
1.Make the dimmer enter Touchlink mode
2. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select the group first,
and the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected
3. Immediately press and hold the ON button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on, press the OFF button 5 times to enter the reset dimmer mode. The yellow LED indicator flashes quickly for 5 seconds
4. After resetting the dimmer successfully, the yellow LED indicator of the remote control will flash slowly 3 times
7. Find and Bind
1. Add the remote control and dimmer to the same network
2. Make the dimmer enter the Find and Bind mode
3. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select a group, and the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected 4. Immediately press and hold the ON button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on,
press the ON button 3 times to enter the Find and Bind mode. The yellow LED indicator flashes quickly for 5 seconds
5. After Find and Bind is successful, the yellow LED indicator of the remote control will flash slowly 6 times
8. Clear find and bind of the specified dimmer
1. Make the dimmer enter Find and Bind mode
2. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select the group where the specified dimmer is located, and the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected
3. Immediately press and hold the ON button of the remote control for 5 seconds, the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on
press the OFF button 3 times again to enter the Find and Bind mode of clearing the specified dimmer. The yellow LED indicator flashes quickly for 5 seconds After the clearing is successful, the yellow LED indicator of the remote control flashes slowly 3 times.
9. Clear find and bind of all dimmers
1. Short press the GROUP button on the remote control to select the group that needs to be cleared,
and the yellow LED indicator flashes once to indicate that the current group is selected
2. Immediately press and hold the ON button for 5 seconds, and the yellow LED indicator of the current group will stay on, press the OFF button 4 times to enter the find and bind mode of clearing all dimmers
After the removal is successful, the yellow LED indicator of the remote control flashes slowly 4 times.
10. Control four groups at the same time
Short press the BIND button to connect four groups, the 4 groups of yellow LED indicators flash once, indicating that the 4 groups have been linked.
